This antique French étagère is crafted in hand-carved wood made to mimic bamboo and features one painted shelf and a lower shelf with a chinoiserie fabric cover. The piece is full of wonderful details, from the top to the legs. The fabric portion on the lower shelf has seen better days, but we truly love the imperfection of antique furniture. The top shelf has a painted bird perched on a branch with delicate foliage, while the lower shelf has a traditional garden bridge scene. The background of both. shelves is primarily black with hints of gold and red.

Measures 19"W x 12"D x 39"H. Surface wear is present. Fabric has losses on lower shelf. Discoloration present as well as some small losses to the legs. See all images for details. Piece is very lightweight, but sturdy.
